Charming vintage oval tole cachepot or jardinière featuring a beautifully hand-painted botanical camellia motif against a warm aged cream ground. Elegant script reading “Camellia Japonica” flanks the central flowering branch, while deep green painted trim and oversized loop handles provide a handsome contrast.
The generously scaled oval form makes this an especially decorative piece for displaying orchids, potted plants, floral arrangements, firewood, magazines, or simply as a sculptural accent. Its timeworn painted surface and naturally aged metal give it the character and patina sought after in European country, French Provincial, English country, and traditional interiors.
Constructed of metal with a rolled rim, riveted construction, raised oval base detail, and handles at each end.
