Rare, historically significant American antique Fraternal Presentation Tray / Specialty Long Sandwich Platter.

An elongated, shallow silver-plated sandwich or appetizer serving tray.

This striking silver-plated piece features a custom hand-engraved commemorative dedication to a high-ranking Freemason.

Front Inscription Reads: "Presented to William H. Dudley by Chesapeake Consistory No.1. M.R.S."

This specific artifact holds deep historical ties to the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite (AASR) of Freemasonry in Baltimore, Maryland.

Crafted in the classic late-Victorian Aesthetic Movement / early-Edwardian style, the tray features an elegant geometric shape with distinctive cut corners and a beautifully etched, delicate floral border accentuating the perimeter.

The back is completely unbranded/unmarked, typical of commercial blanks of the era manufactured by prominent New England silversmiths for custom localization by regional engravers and jewelers.

Great used antique condition considering its age, displaying a highly reflective finish. Minor surface wear, faint hairline scratches from historic cleaning, and small scattered dark tarnish spots consistent with authentic silver plate age. One small dent up from behind, most likely from hanging. Otherwise perfectly flat base, no major dents, deep gouges, or warping. The engraved lettering remains deep, crisp, and completely legible.
