A contemplative stacked garden sculpture in the Mountain Spirit tradition, composed of five individually shaped concrete elements balanced in an intentionally irregular, organic silhouette. Though reminiscent of a Japanese tōrō, this is not a functional lantern; the central opening is sculptural, meant to frame shifting sunlight and shadow.
Each section shows evidence of hand chipping and shaping rather than mold casting, including a subtle seam that reflects its handmade construction. The sculpture has a quiet, elemental presence with a primitive geometry and tactile surface that embodies the Wabi sabi ideal — beauty expressed through time, weathering, and imperfection.
