Public biographical information on Zugbe remains limited. Surviving works indicate that he was a Washington, D.C.–area artist and illustrator active by the early 1940s. His known body of work includes wartime illustrations dated 1941, Washington and Georgetown street scenes, still lifes, and sensitively rendered figure studies.
