This small stone basin was carved by hand nearly two centuries ago, sculpted from solid limestone to an unusual triangular shape. The chiseled surface has the irregular texture of raw stone, now weathered from years of outdoor use with a great patina.
Originally placed on a provincial Chinese farm as a trough for livestock, the stone basin is ideal today as a statement water feature, sink basin or garden planter, contrasting delicate foliage with the hard permanence of stone. The flat sides of its triangle shape makes the stone vessel especially suitable for placing against a wall or corner.
Drilled with a single drainage hole.
