A rare matched pair of sculptural Discus table lamps attributed to Los Angeles designer Shepard Vineburg. Each lamp is built from twelve carved maple discs, stacked and graduated so the column swells at the center and tapers toward the foot and the neck. The form reads as a single object—stacked saucers, a wooden pagoda—rather than a conventional turned base. Maple is finished in a warm honey tone that shows grain and the slight variation from disc to disc. Chrome hardware runs through the stack and rises as a metal stem into the shade. Each lamp has a single socket with a switch on the cord for easy convenience. Round drum shades in white textured fabric complete the pair. Specifications (each)
