These chairs were originally used in trams … Read more Original mid-century chairs in gray fiberglass. Designed by Miroslav Navratil for Vertex company. These chairs were originally used in trams in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s. Now are very popular as an original seating option, with a great design by one of the best Czechoslovakian designer of mid-century era. The gray fiberglass seat is very comfortable and strong. It sits on a metal base. The handle below the seat allows you to swivel the chair as you wish and adjust it into any position. Good condition with some wear visible in pictures on the seat, fiberglass shows some patina and scratches. Base shows some rust wear. We kept the seat in this original state as it adds patina, but still is fully functional. It does not influence the comfort of seating. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
