Designed by G.J. van Os for the prestigious Van Os Culemborg furniture factory, the "Swing" chair is one of the most recognizable designs in mid-20th-century Dutch furniture. Introduced around 1949, it represents the evolution of Dutch design in the post-war period towards more organic, lightweight, and functional forms.
