This set of seven bentwood café chairs carries the kind of story that makes vintage worth chasing — brought home by their original owners from the 1933 Chicago World's Fair, and still showing the warm, well-earned patina of nearly a century of use. Steam-bent from solid oak in the sweeping, Thonet-inspired tradition, each chair pairs a graceful hoop back with cabriole-curved front legs and a curved cross-stretcher underneath. Two chairs kept their original solid oak disc seats, while the remaining five wear round upholstered cushions in a rose floral on a soft khaki ground — a mix that gives the whole set a lived-in, gathered-over-time character.
