A handsome set of four circa-1970s Neoclassical dining chairs featuring beautifully preserved woven cane backs and warm walnut-toned wood frames.
The tall architectural backs feature inset cane panels framed by stepped geometric detailing, while the shaped seat rails, squared corner blocks and tapered legs with elongated recessed decoration lend the chairs a refined French Regency and Louis XVI Revival influence.
Beyond their appearance, the chairs exhibit notably substantial construction. Shaped wood framing and interlocking joinery are visible beneath the seats, contributing to the solid feel of the set.
Each upholstered seat is independently removable, making reupholstery exceptionally straightforward. The existing cushioning remains supportive and comfortable, allowing a designer or new owner to simply update the fabric while retaining the existing seat construction.
Shown in one staged photograph with neutral upholstery to illustrate their potential in a contemporary interior. The chairs are sold with their existing patterned upholstery as documented in the original photographs.
The warm wood finish and natural cane make these particularly versatile chairs, equally suited to a traditional dining room, collected transitional interior, Palm Beach-inspired space or layered contemporary setting.
