A nice pair of Renaissance Prints. The Prints are portraits of The Lady Lister & John Fisher, the original art by Hans Holbein the Younger are in the British Museum, Windsor Castle. Hans Holbein the Younger (1497/8 – 1543) was born in southern Germany. In 1516, he moved to the Swiss city of Basel where he worked as a portraitist, book illustrator and designer of stained glass. The artistic excellence of Holbein is personified in his court portraits.
The portrait of Lady Lister measures 8 5/8" wide x 11 3/8" high and John Fisher is 7 3/8" x 11 3/8", both are in wood frames with glass. The prints have an embossed name on the lower right "Copyright Banestall" and have labels on the back.
