Very rare and hard to find. This was one of his last designs before he passed away far too soon.
Van Severen devoted himself to perfecting the proportion, detail, and fabrication of basic furniture forms. He succeeded very well with this fantastic piece, if you ask me.
It consists of a low sideboard with coloured sliding doors, in the middle two lacquered pine laminate blocks and on top another sideboard with sliding doors. At the backside it has coloured sliding doors as well. All parts can be connected with screws. By playing with the sliding doors it has various possibilities. It can perfectly be used as a room divider as well.
The shelves are made of extruded anodized aluminum, the legs are of tubular steel, the sliding doors are in powder coated aluminum and the sides of powder coated mdf.
Minimalist and sleek appearance. A master piece in design and craftsmanship.
The sideboard is in very good original condition. Only very little traces of wear. 6 screws are not original. This piece has an attribution mark,
