A sumptuous cold-foam cushion rests on a steel frame, its deep folds forming beneath the black leather. The entire structure is supported by slender, ribbed black metal tube legs that protrude visibly from under the frame, lending the substantial sofa a surprising lightness. The sofa can be transformed in seconds: the armrests and backrests are mounted on a hinge mechanism that automatically locks into several positions and can be manually released. The armrests pivot around their center of gravity and can be positioned either flat as an extension of the seat—precisely the position shown in the photo—or upright as a classic backrest.
