àlvar suñol munoz-ramos (known as alvar) is one of the few remaining living spanish modernist artists. Known for his meticulous work that synthesises the traditions and craftsmanship of renaissance painting with a modern sensibility.

his works are owned by over 40 museums across the world and he has exhibited widely in the usa and europe. Most notably he showed his work at galerie charpentier in paris in the 1960s, alongside his fellow spanish modernists dali, miro and picasso.



the letter on the back of the piece reads in catalan:

"aquesta litografia ha estat realitzada per alvar i editada exclusivament amb motiu de l'homenatge de tiana a lola anqlada.

s'ha fet un tiratge sobre paper arches limitat a 150 exemplares i 25 proves d'artista, signat i numerat per le autor.

tiane, estiu del 1978".
