A dual-purpose lamp of minimal wire-and-cylinder construction. The frame is formed from a single length of chromed steel rod, bent to describe a flat triangular foot at the base and rising as two converging arms to meet the shade. Standing on a surface, the triangle acts as the base and the lamp leans forward; inverted and hung, the same triangle becomes the wall bracket and the shade projects outward.
The shade is a plain rolled steel cylinder finished in black, the interior painted pale cream to soften and reflect the output. It is carried on a single knurled pivot boss where the upright arm meets the tube, allowing the cylinder to be rotated through its full arc and locked at any angle. The lampholder is mounted on a pressed cream plate set within the closed end of the tube, with the flex entering through a grommet at the rear.
