## Title
Vintage Italian Chinoiserie Faux Alabaster Prosperity Cart Sculpture
## Description
A substantial and intricately detailed vintage Italian Chinoiserie sculptural group depicting a traditional Chinese prosperity cart, expertly crafted in Italy during the mid-to-late 20th century. Made from a heavy, dense faux-alabaster resin composite designed to mimic masterfully carved organic tusk or bone, the piece exhibits exceptional structural depth.
The dynamic composition features an old scholar or guide piloting a heavy wooden wheelbarrow assisted by younger figures. The cart is heavily laden with stacked golden ingots (Sycees)—serving as an iconic historical symbol of wealth, good fortune, and abundant prosperity. The figures’ flowing garments are beautifully accented with fine, hand-painted geometric and floral patterns reminiscent of classical European and Asian export porcelain artistry. The underside features an official stamped Italian floral factory hallmark alongside an incised studio number ("14"). A magnificent, heavy accent piece perfectly suited for Hollywood Regency, maximalist, or eclectic curated shelves and mantles.
