The painting has an especially strong period palette of mustard yellow, turquoise, deep red, rust and earthy brown. Broad, confident brushwork and areas of thickly applied paint give the composition wonderful depth and movement, while the simplified forms lend it a distinctly mid-century modern character.

Signed by the artist at lower right and presented in its substantial carved solid wood frame with linen liner. A great decorative painting with rich color, texture and an unmistakably 1960s presence.
