Offered is a stunning, mid-to-late 20th-century Chinese export porcelain tea service for two, meticulously hand-decorated in the historic porcelain capital of Jingdezhen.
This curated group forms two complete traditional "Teacup Trios"—a highly desirable configuration for collectors and high-end display.The service features the playful and auspicious "Pineapple & Butterfly" pattern, showcasing central pink peonies surrounded by tropical pineapples, fluttering butterflies, and scrolling foliage. The inner borders feature repeating auspicious melons, all accented with bright, fine gilt detailing along the rims. The underside of the teacups reveals a striking, vibrant green geometric band.
