This is a magnificent vintage Chinese Huali (Rosewood) tabletop cabinet, exquisitely decorated with Mother-of-Pearl (MOP) inlay.
The cabinet features two upper drawers and two lower cabinet doors, all fitted with original, aged brass hardware (ring pulls, hinges, and a central lock). The front panels are beautifully decorated with luminous MOP inlay: the drawers feature scrolling floral vines, while the doors showcase a stunning scene of colorful birds perched amongst flowering branches. The contrast between the iridescent white pearl and the rich, dark reddish-brown wood is striking.
