A seated nun in a flowing crimson habit with a long blue veil and a stylized green-toned face is depicted within a church interior, seated on a pew before a Gothic blue archway, with a gray cross rendered in the upper background. Rendered in saturated, non-naturalistic color reminiscent of Rouault-influenced sacred Expressionism. Unsigned; artist unidentified. Executed in oil on paper, unframed, measuring 11" x 13.5".
