Substantial solid limestone pedestal featuring a dramatic sculptural spiral form and deeply carved five-point star motif across the top.

Carved from heavy natural stone, the pedestal displays the characteristic texture, pitting, mineral variation and fossil-like inclusions of limestone. The twisting form gives the piece an almost architectural quality and creates a striking silhouette from every angle.

Originally suited for use as a table base, the pedestal could support a round glass or stone top and would make an impressive center table, entry table, occasional table or sculptural architectural element.

The oversized proportions and organic limestone surface work particularly well in Mediterranean, Italian-inspired, Spanish Revival, Brutalist, Postmodern and contemporary interiors.
