Executed in … Read more This atmospheric oil painting captures a moody urban view along Bolshaya Polyanka Street in Moscow's historical Zamoskvorechye District. Executed in a rich, expressive style with heavy impasto and visible brushwork, the work contrasts traditional low-rise streetscape architecture in warm, earthy terracotta tones against a looming, intricate building and church silhouette rendered in deep pink and shadowy indigo.

The reverse of the canvas is signed, dated ('97), and titled in Russian script ("Б. Полянка, Новая Москва, Х.М. 60х80"), confirming its dimensions, medium, and local Moscow subject matter. Presented in a simple wooden studio strip frame, this work represents a striking example of late 20th-century Russian urban cityscape painting.
