Standing at an impressive 17.7 inches tall and weighing over 9 lbs, this is a true statement piece.

The sculpture features a serene, meditative expression with downcast eyes, a gentle smile, and a red urna (dot) on the forehead. It wears an elaborate, tall crown, which retains significant traces of original polychrome painting in faded mineral pigments of red, green, and blue. The wood has aged beautifully over time, developing a rich, weathered patina with natural cracking and grain, perfectly evoking the atmosphere of an old Chinese temple.

This head does not require a pedestal to be displayed; it can be mounted on a wall, placed directly on a bookshelf, or rested on a console table. It brings a sense of profound peace, history, and sophisticated Zen aesthetics to any modern or traditional interior. See less
