A Mid Century Modern table with the unusual design of having six legs. It is made from
mahogany with dark iron shoes and a similar surround on top. This is a version of a very
famous table design accredited to Adolf Loos.
Adolf Loos was an influential Austrian architect and theorist known for his critical stance
against ornamentation in architecture and his contributions to modernist design. His
philosophy emphasized simplicity and functionality, which he felt were more aligned with
modern values and efficiency.
The table is 30” diameter and stands 30” tall. It has a few imperfections consistent with
age but no major damage or repairs have been done and the finish is original.
It is rather heavy weighing in at just under 70lbs.
