Mikel Davison focuses on art, mixed media, and furniture made from repurposed materials. "Blue Bird" is no exception. It is repurposed acrylic paints on soft, repurposed canvas (see pictures seven and eight). It has a medium texture and satin finish.

"Blue Bird" has a protective yet naive feel. It's as if the bear is telling you, "Don't worry, whatever happens, it will all be okay." I felt this would be a wonderful piece in a nursery or child's room. However, I had a client who said he would put it in his office. It was how he felt every day.

It is gallery wrapped as shown in picture six.

Note: The white splashes are not canvas showing through; they are dabs of white paint.

Size: 40 inches high x 21.5 inches wide x 2 inches deep.
