A dramatic late 20th-century Art Deco Revival figural table lamp featuring a stylized nude female figure gracefully posing while holding a luminous white glass globe overhead.
The elongated female form, sweeping pose, dark finish, and geometric stepped base create a striking sculptural silhouette with unmistakable Art Deco Revival character. Standing an impressive 29.5 inches tall, the lamp has substantial presence and functions equally well as decorative sculpture and ambient lighting.
The female figure and base appear to be constructed of a cast plaster or composition-type material with a dark matte finish. The exact composition of the cast material is unknown. The contrasting white glass globe produces a soft glow when illuminated and emphasizes the dramatic pose of the figure.
With its nearly 30-inch height and sculptural proportions, this statement lamp would be particularly striking on a console, credenza, pedestal, entry table, or substantial side table.
