Charming pair of small Western paintings depicting horseback riders set against open landscapes. Each work has a wonderfully expressive, slightly naïve quality, with visible brushwork and rich, earthy color accented by clear blue skies.
The paintings are presented in substantial ornate wood frames with an aged gold finish and deeply embossed floral and scrollwork detailing. The elaborate frames give these diminutive works an unexpectedly elevated presence and make the pair especially appealing displayed together.
Executed in acrylic on canvas board.
