You are viewing the spectacular Alcoa Aluminum Chess Set + Board, designed by Austin Cox for Austin Enterprises c1962.
One of the most impressive modern chess sets ever designed, the set features 32 stylized game pieces made of Alcoa aluminum, which are ingeniously designed to be housed in a long wood and blue acrylic box (which can also be hung on the wall). The hard-to-find board is made of two tone blue felt over wood, with an aluminum edge. Game pieces are stamped on the underside.

Board measures 19 1/8" square x 1"T.
