An especially handsome vintage gallery or picture light featuring a substantial 14-inch brass-tone housing and an unusually well-made articulated central mounting arm.
Unlike more basic picture lights, this fixture incorporates several points of adjustment. The single central arm telescopes from approximately 7" to 10" projection and is secured by a finely knurled brass adjustment knob. An additional articulated joint at the light housing allows the shade to swivel and tilt, making it possible to direct illumination precisely toward a painting, print, portrait or other framed artwork.
The arm hardware is particularly attractive, with substantial brass-tone fittings, knurled adjustment collars and a traditional locking lever that give the fixture the appearance and functionality of professional gallery or library lighting.
The fixture also retains an attached operating switch/control, rather than relying solely on a separate wall switch. It has been tested and is shown illuminated in the photographs.
The broad 14-inch housing contains two opposing tubular lamps, providing balanced illumination across the artwork below. The warm aged brass/gold finish works particularly well with gilt frames, traditional interiors, libraries, studies and collected gallery walls.
No manufacturer's name or identifying label has been located, so the fixture is conservatively offered as an unbranded vintage gallery picture light rather than attributed to a specific maker.

Good vintage condition with attractive age-appropriate character. The brass/gold-tone finish shows scattered surface wear and finish variation consistent with previous use. Some darker oxidation and wear are visible around the articulated joints and adjustment hardware, as shown in the close-up photographs. The substantial central arm retains its telescoping adjustment, brass locking knob and swivel/tilt mechanisms. The attached switch/control is present, and the fixture has been tested and is working, as shown illuminated in the photographs. Wiring shows evidence of prior installation/modification and should be reviewed by a qualified installer before permanent installation. Please review all photographs closely for the most complete representation of condition.
