A handsome 14-volume collection of Modern American Law, published by the Blackstone School of Law, Chicago. This vintage 1960 edition carries forward the historic Blackstone legal series, with the copyright page noting earlier copyrights of 1914, 1917 and 1921.
Bound in rich burgundy-toned covers with gilt lettering along the spines, the volumes create an exceptionally attractive and substantial library grouping when displayed together. The warm oxblood/burgundy coloration, aged page edges and understated gold typography give the collection the character of a traditional working law library.
The collection includes Volumes 1, 2 and 5 through 16, for a total of 14 volumes.
Subjects represented across the volumes include contracts, personal property, wills and administration, domestic relations, public service companies, trusts, real property, patents and trademarks, equitable rights and remedies, torts, pleading and practice, courts and evidence, criminal law, constitutional law and other areas of American jurisprudence.
