Size: 34 x 39.7 cm
Weight: approximately 9.5 kg
The work was exhibited in 1968 at the Clasing Gallery (Münster).
Provenance: Acquired in 1968 at the exhibition at the Clasing Gallery (Münster) by a former student of the artist.

Günter Kämpfe
Sculptor, object artist, draftsman, painter.
Studied art in Braunschweig and Berlin (including under Willy Jaeckel, Alexander Kanoldt, and Hans Zimbal).
His studies were interrupted by compulsory labor service, military service, and subsequent Russian captivity until 1950.
In 1944, a large part of his early work was destroyed due to the war.
After 1945, he worked primarily as an art teacher, including at the Braunschweig University of Education, the Wilhelm Gymnasium in Braunschweig, the Große Schule in Wolfenbüttel, and various adult education centers.
from 1961 onward, Kämpfe turned to abstract material-based paintings.
from 1966, he began creating ferromontages, welded two- and three-dimensional artworks made from metal parts.
