This canvas, also known as "Toile … Read more This magnificent Louis Vuitton trunk features the very rare and highly sought-after Damier pattern. This canvas, also known as "Toile Damier," is characteristic of the late 19th century. It is further adorned with silver-plated hardware and brass fittings; its main lock and clasps are brass and engraved "Louis Vuitton," while its side handles are steel and also engraved "LV."

It retains numerous travel labels as well as hand-painted custom bands, giving this Louis Vuitton trunk a very special touch. The Damier pattern is slightly faded in places, as it is a very old trunk, but this is part of its charm.

This Louis Vuitton trunk has a beautiful, rich, and warm patina. Its interior is entirely original, lined in beige canvas, with its Louis Vuitton label and serial number.

It features a large removable woven basket. There are some small stains, but it's understandable given its age of over 120 years. Overall, the interior is clean, fresh, and odorless.

This very unusual small Vuitton trunk can be used for storage, as a side table, or as a bedside table.
