The coordinating designs depict a flowering branch and a holly-like leaf-and-berry branch, believed to represent Spring and Winter from a mid-century Four Seasons decorative series. The manufacturer is unidentified, and the pair is unmarked.

Unlike the lightweight molded botanical wall décor commonly produced during the period, these are exceptionally heavy iron castings. Each weighs more than seven pounds, giving them the presence and character of architectural ornament.

Displayed together, their contrasting botanical forms make a beautiful flanking pair for a mirror, painting, doorway, fireplace or console. Their long, narrow proportions also work especially well where traditional artwork can be difficult to place.

The metallic gold-painted surface shows attractive age-related variation, wear and patina consistent with vintage decorative iron. Each panel incorporates its own cast hanging loop.
