a fine, multi-material, heavily overhanging high relief (measures 37 x 37 cm, depth 12.5 cm, weight over 3 kg), applied to a solid wooden panel. This original work is titled "the stone and the bridge," conceived and created by the renowned umbrian master elvio marchionni for christmas 2006, commissioned by the bonifica company. The attribution to the artist is unequivocally certified by the handwritten signature at the bottom right, the roman numeral of the copy at the bottom left (xxxvi/lxx), and the text on the accompanying cartouche illustrated in the photographs. Iconographically, the composition expresses the profound concept of boundless universal unity and human cohesion: the scene depicts two hands, both left, clasping and supporting each other above a globe set within a square stone.
