An antique (or near-antique) table lamp in the form of a candelabra, with two decorative hand-wrought symmetrical scrolled arms topped with oak-leaf bobeche that conceal the original lamp-holders. The same motif is used in the centre of a lamp, at the union of the two scroll arms, with a spike between them. The lamp was made in france in the 1920s.
it bears some of its original paint – green with gold highlights – but this has been worn and distressed over the years.
the lamp has been dismantled, cleaned and rewired to modern safety standards, with an earth junction concealed inside the lamp, a generous length of double-insulated 3-core twisted cable with a period-style cream braided sheath, and a 3-pin uk plug.
each bulb can be switched individually, with patinated brass push-button switches to the rear of the lamp. The lamp accepts two b15 sbc (small bayonet cap) bulbs.
uk plug (up to 250v).the wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
