Above the door is a drawer that spans the entire width of the cabinet. Behind it is a shelf. The drawer is fitted with a brass ring handle with a lion's head rosette, and the door has a brass knob. The door has a locking mechanism.

Ebonized moldings frame the edge of the top and the base, contrasting as narrow, dark lines against the light cherry wood.

The cabinet stands on curved, saber-shaped feet that extend from the front edges of the cabinet and flare outwards, giving the compact cabinet a light and airy feel.

The cabinet has been restored and refinished with new shellac. During the restoration, it was necessary to repair the veneer on the door. The cabinet is ready for use.
