the undulating, openwork frieze is lavishly carved with scrolls, foliage, shells, and rocaille motifs.

it rests on four strongly cabriole legs, also carved and gilded, terminating in scrolls.

the legs are joined by a curved stretcher, adorned in its center with a prominent foliate motif, lending lightness and balance to the whole.

the console table is topped with a beautiful white veined marble, molded and shaped to follow the contours of the frieze.

the gilding, slightly patinated in places, elegantly highlights the depth and richness of the carving.

a spectacular and highly decorative console table, ideal for an entryway, living room, or beneath a large mirror.
