Marian Grabinski developed much of his design research around the idea of essential, functional, and flexible furniture, designed to integrate seamlessly into domestic interiors. The "MTP" model, designed in 1963, embodies this vision. Originally conceived as an entryway piece, over time it has also been used as a storage bench, a multimedia console, and a sideboard, thanks to a configuration that combines a large top with two integrated drawers. The horizontal body is supported by a slender structure, in which the sculpted connections between the legs and the main volume soften the transition between the elements and give the profile an almost sculptural quality. The absence of attached handles maintains the uninterrupted, clean look, while the recessed handles in the drawers and dovetail joints reveal meticulous attention to construction details.
