A beautiful set of four vintage Noritake China salad or dessert plates in the discontinued Tiffany pattern, dating to circa 1930.
The elegant pattern features an aqua/turquoise border with elaborate gold scrollwork, delicate multicolor floral sprays, a warm cream ground, and gold-trimmed edges. The softly shaped rims give the plates an especially decorative appearance.
Each plate bears the period Noritake backstamp reading “Noritake China – Japan – Tiffany – U.S. Design Pat. Applied For.”
“Tiffany” is the Noritake pattern name and these plates are not associated with Tiffany & Co.
These approximately 7 5/8-inch plates are traditionally classified as salad plates, but their size also makes them ideal for desserts, appetizers, luncheon service, or decorative display.
