The upper section features a straight … Read more Two-part corner cabinet from the royal household of Frederic VI, reign 1808-1838 in Denmark. The upper section features a straight panel with ebonized thread inlay, a box lock and key, a projecting staircase, a horn mask over the keyhole, and one shelf inside. The lower section has two doors, a box lock with key, and two shelves inside. The cabinet rests on high stilt feet. Carefully restored and hand-polished with shellac, this is a very elegant, typical piece of Nordic furniture. Two wax seals are present on the back panels. See less
