This beautifully made elegant Federal/Hepplewhite game/console table has all characteristics
of this period: clean lines, tapered legs and delicate stringing border decorations. The top is made of single flamed mahogany board and the apron is decorated with satinwood inlays and the oval “patera”. Great as a front hall wall console with contrasting woodgrain and beautiful patina.

The top was completely restored and veneer was reglued and stabilized as needed. Amazingly no “patches” or poorly done previous repairs are shown. The satinwood inserts are glowing with beautiful grain and the surface was French polished. The hinges and swing leg work well and the table is fully functional as a wall console or a game table.
