Charming mid-20th-century original watercolor depicting Venice’s iconic Piazza San Marco waterfront. The composition captures gondolas on the lagoon with the Doge’s Palace and the Column of Saint Mark rising beyond, rendered in a restrained palette of black, warm neutrals, and soft blue-gray.
Signed “Sari” at the lower right. The watercolor is presented beneath glass with a wide vintage mat and simple dark frame. The aged matting lends the piece an authentic vintage character and complements the architectural subject beautifully.
An appealing original European cityscape for a collected traditional, Grand Tour, Mediterranean, or eclectic interior. Particularly well suited for a gallery wall, study, library, or entryway.
