The Design: The Obispo Sofa is a masterclass in Latin American modernism, beautifully conceptualized by world-renowned designer Alfredo Paredes. Drawing from his 33 years as the Creative Director for Ralph Lauren, Paredes infuses this silhouette with a cinematic, deeply soulful narrative. The piece is defined by its architectural, radiused corner planes that cradle a plush bench seat and a series of loose back cushions.
The Construction: The entire frame floats elegantly atop a continuous, hand-finished white oak sled base. The exposed wood detailing provides a sculptural baseline and a highly tailored, custom feel. True to the Alfredo Paredes Studio standard, this bench-made piece features exceptional structural craftsmanship intended to last for decades.
The Textile: This particular Obispo sofa has been customized using the Kravet Couture Yacuma fabric in Petro from the Cocuyo collection. This is an artisanal ikat patchwork textile with deep grounding, earthy tones.
