Engraved Crystal Champagne Coupes – Late 19th/Early 20th Century
Beautiful engraved crystal champagne coupes with a classic flared shape, resting on a central ringed stem and a wide circular foot.
Decoration: The bowl is adorned with an engraved frieze composed of several registers—a row of dots/scales at the top, a frieze of interlaced motifs (a garland of brackets) just below, and then a series of ribbons crossing in undulating arches that encircles the body of the coupe. This very fine ornamental repertoire, executed by wheel, is characteristic of French crystalware services from the late 19th/early 20th century (in the style of Baccarat or Saint-Louis productions, though attribution is uncertain due to the absence of a visible signature).
Material: Perfectly transparent crystal, finely cut and engraved, with a well-ground pontil mark on the base.
