The artist gives free rein to his philosophical and existential vision, offering us an extraordinary juxtaposition of tones and forms.
Lorenzo Colomo (Valdenegro de los Valles, Valladolid, 1950 – 2023)
Lorenzo Colomo Argüello was a visual artist and gallery owner from Valladolid. He held his first exhibition in 1972. Throughout his career, his work evolved from expressionism to lyrical and conceptual abstraction. He stated that he created paintings that conveyed concepts, as he was not interested in trends and shunned the elitist image of art. For Lorenzo Colomo, "visual art should offer philosophical reflection and knowledge to humankind."
with more than thirty solo exhibitions to his name, he also garnered numerous awards. His work was selected for multiple national competitions, such as the Barcelona Biennial, the Cuenca Biennial of Abstract Art, and the Zamora Biennial. He has also participated in various group exhibitions, and his work has been exhibited at events such as ARCO, Arcale, ArteSevilla, ArteSantander, Art Jaén, and Art Madrid, receiving awards such as the “Premio Racimo” in the Painting category in 2005.
