The chairs feature beautifully constructed bamboo frames combined with extensive hand-woven cognac tan leather. Wide leather straps form the seats and continue across the sculptural curved backrests and armrests, creating an unusually rich and architectural appearance. Particularly attractive are the numerous leather-wrapped connections throughout the bamboo frames. The combination of warm honey-colored bamboo and naturally aged cognac leather gives these chairs a relaxed yet sophisticated character, strongly associated with Scandinavian interiors of the 1970s. The wraparound backrests flow organically into the armrests, while the slender bamboo legs and multiple horizontal stretchers give the chairs a light and elegant silhouette. Viewed from the rear, the craftsmanship of the woven leather panels and bamboo construction becomes especially visible. The chairs retain a beautiful vintage patina. Natural variations, minor marks and traces of use to both the bamboo and leather are consistent with their age and contribute to their authentic character.
