Art Deco ashtray by Pierre d'Avesn, signed, France circa 1930
The ashtray is in very good condition for its age, with a few minor scratches on the glass from use; no cracks or chips.
Height: 5 cm Diameter: 13.5 cm
The glass designer Pierre d'Avesn was born in 1901 and began his career at Lalique, later working for Daum Frères and Verlys. In between, he created his own pieces, which he had produced by Sèvres. D'Avesn is considered one of the greatest glassmakers of the French Art Deco period. This piece has an attribution mark,
