Crafted from walnut with striking figured burlwood drawer fronts, this substantial Victorian chest showcases the architectural lines and geometric detailing characteristic of the Eastlake movement. The piece features an elegant marble top, original ornate brass hardware, dovetail drawers, original-style lock escutcheons, decorative incised detailing, and rolling antique casters.

The chest has been fully refinished with a hand-applied terracotta-toned wash designed to enhance the natural character and depth of the walnut and burl while giving the piece a warm, richly aged appearance. The dramatic contrast between the terracotta-toned walnut, highly figured burl fronts, brass hardware, and pale marble top makes this a particularly distinctive statement piece.

The four spacious drawers provide generous storage, while the marble surface offers an elegant display area.
