Offered by the original owner, this heirloom-quality "Florence" credenza is an absolute tour de force from Century Furniture. Originally purchased on September 4, 2002, the original invoice shows a manufacturer list price of $10,135. Kept meticulously in a smoke-free home and used strictly for storing fine dinnerware for special occasions, this piece is in exceptional, showroom-ready condition with a lustrous, well-preserved top finish.
Design & Craftsmanship
This grand sideboard features a dramatic, deeply contoured serpentine front that commands presence in any room. The upper tier boasts refined architectural fretwork detailing, while the corners are flanked by heavy, carved fluted columns that taper into a robust, layered plinth base. The rich, warm amber finish highlights the exceptional depth of the premium wood grain. It comes adorned with its original, heavy solid brass hardware, featuring intricately cast historical scrollwork pulls and key-escutcheon plates.
Ample Luxury Storage
The credenza offers massive storage capabilities. The central double doors open to reveal expansive shelving for large serving platters, bowls, and a large pull-out felt-lined silverware drawer, while the flanking curved side cabinets provide excellent deep storage for fine china, or other components.
