Kohn / Mundus Model 337 bentwood chair, made in Romania in the early 20th century. An especially attractive variation with a warm floral-decorated seat, dark bentwood frame, three turned back spindles, and gracefully curved supports. The contrast between the golden seat and deep brown frame gives this example particularly strong visual presence. The underside retains a faint circular factory stamp associated with J. & J. Kohn / Mundus Model 337, a handwritten “Made in Romania” marking, and additional old inventory markings.
